Teen Challenge Northern California / Nevada -

My high school days were picture perfect.  I was a good student, very athletic and had every intention of going to college on a scholarship. One night, my friends and I got a crazy idea to rob a convenience store. My mom was devastated.  She raised me in church and always held me to a high standard.  Even though she will always spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair due to a skiing accident, she was always encouraging and hoped she could save me from some of life’s trials that she had to face. As I was standing in front of the judge, facing the possibility of five to ten years in prison, my mom was praying.  God heard her prayers and provided the miracle that allowed me to go to Teen Challenge. While I was in Teen Challenge, my relationship with God grew stronger everyday.  I learned I had to surrender ALL of my life to Him, not just pieces of it. Today, I am attending a community college and am working towards a career in computers.  I am actively involved in my church and am leading an outreach that visits the juvenile detention facilities in the Prescott, AZ area.  I have even had the privilege of witnessing to many of the guys I knew before Teen Challenge – some of them were the ones I did the armed robbery with.  The Lord continues to be master of my life in every way.
